The first major tournament of 2024 began this week, as the best players in the world make their way to Alexandra Palace to compete for the Masters. The first in the year’s snooker triple crown will get snooker betting sites laying the red carpet out for bettors with free bet offers and price boosts galore.

The action began on Sunday, 7th January with world champion Luca Brecel taking on Jack Lisowski, with the latter winning and looking forward to a place in the quarter-finals. This is the 50th Masters tournament, and Ronnie O’Sullivan will be hoping to extend his record as the most successful player in its history with an eighth win. He is among the favourites for victory with most UK betting sites. His tilt for glory began against Ding Junhui, who he beat to claim the UK Championship last month. Ding scored a maximum 147 break but was unable to defeat O'Sullivan.

Here at Bookies.com, we’ve got your covered with all the betting offers and enhanced odds all in one place.

The Masters is the most exclusive snooker tournament in the world, reserved for the very best players, which makes the punting on betting apps all the more difficult given the quality of the players competing. Only the top 16 in the world rankings at the conclusion of December’s UK Championship have made it to Ally Pally to take part.

There hasn’t been a repeat winner of the tournament since Ronnie O’Sullivan triumphed in both 2016 and 2017, which means there could be some value to be had either attempting to buck the trend and backing last year’s victor in Judd Trump or taking a lesser light on.

Twelve of the 16 competitors have either won the tournament or made the final, which should ensure this is an incredibly tightly fought tournament. One of those players to have never reached the final is reigning world champion Luca Brecel, who was knocked out in the first round by Jack Lisowski.

Most new betting sites made defending champion Judd Trump the favourite to win it all before the start of the tournament, but he will have to overcome one of the strongest lineups in recent memory to win his third trophy. Find the latest odds on the main contenders below:

Masters Snooker CompetitorsOdds of Winning
Ronnie O'Sullivan 13/8 with Coral
Judd Trump 3/1 with BetVictor
Mark Selby 5/1 with 10bet
Shaun Murphy 11/2 with BetMGM
Mark Allen 9/1 with Ladbrokes
Ali Carter 22/1 with bet365

Odds correct as of 12 January, 2024.

Masters Snooker 2024 Seeds

The odds don’t tell the whole story of where each player is seeded, so here are the 16 seedings to help you with your wagers.

1. Judd Trump 9. Kyren Wilson
2. Luca Brecel 10. John Higgins
3. Ronnie O'Sullivan 11. Ali Carter
4. Mark Allen 12. Ding Junhui
5. Mark Selby 13. Zhang Anda
6. Neil Robertson 14. Robert Milkins
7. Shaun Murphy 15. Barry Hawkins
8. Mark Williams 16. Jack Lisowski

Masters Snooker Betting Tip

Shaun Murphy has made serene progress in the tournament so far with a 6-2 win over Zhang Anda and a 6-3 victory over Jack Lisowski. He now faces the formiddable Ronnie O'Sullivan in the semi-finals. But with the Rocket far from his best in the quarter-final, this could be a great chance for Murphy to go all the way.

His victories have led to his odds being dramatically cut, but he is still a nice price given the form he appears to be in and can be had at 11/2 with BetMGM to win the tournament.
