The Arizona sports betting handle during March shattered the state’s record, with $690.979 million in wagers and $18.668 million in gross wagering receipts.

The second month of the year saw a sizable decline in Arizona sports betting revenues, with a handle of $491.6 million and $6.8 million in gross wagering receipts.

The state raked in $563.694 million in sports betting handle, in addition to $19.622M in revenue according to numbers released Friday by the Arizona Department of Gaming.

The December handle broke the previous record of $486.1 million in October and dwarfed the $466.7 million in wagers from November.

The Arizona Department of Gaming’s updated revenue figures, which were released Tuesday, showed a $22 million decline in revenue during the second full month of sports betting in the state.

The Coyotes were the last of the eight Arizona sports teams that received a license from the Arizona Department of Gaming in August to announce a partner.

The data, which covers the period from when Arizona sports betting launched Sept. 9 to month’s end, represents a bold new era for the state, according to ADG Director Ted Vogt.
