Tip 1 - 2:35 Limerick - Next Trick

There isn’t much form to go on in this maiden but at the prices Dermot Weld’s Next Trick looks like value. She beat Fleur De Chine last time out despite running keen, and is currently available at around twice the price. If she can settle better today back on a faster surface she could have enough ability to take the spoils.

Tip 2 - 3:15 York - Bluestocking

Bluestocking was a frustrating sort as a 3yo. She had her head in front near the line at both Chester and the Curragh in the Irish Oaks before getting chinned late. She was then a fast-finish second in the Champion Fillies and Mares race at Ascot in October. With plenty of solid Group 1 form to her name, she should be well able to take a Group 2 of this nature. There’s some serious competition in Free Wind, but Ralph Beckett’s filly could well improve as a 4yo and looks the likely winner.

Tip 3 - 5:52 Lingfield - Publicity

The penny appears to have dropped this spring for 3yo Publicity since racing over an extended trip, with a third, second and first place finish in his three starts on the all-weather since March. He won over course and distance and is only three pounds higher now so should still be well-in. The form of that victory has been boosted by the sixth winning next time out. He re-opposes Bella Grazia, who trailed one place behind today’s selection at Wolverhampton two weeks ago, and we think he could keep his nose in front come the end of the race again.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).

Where Can I Watch the Daily Horse Racing Selections Run?

The best place is always on the racecourse but that’s not very practical so when it’s not on terrestrial TV with the likes of Sky Sports Racing and ITV (or ITV 4) then the best way to get instant access to live pictures is with a live streaming bookmaker – try these three below for the best of the bunch.
